Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor from America. Her most well-known role was Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting when she was in Preparatory School. In the late 70's, she and her family moved to Ohio. She attended theatre classes in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a period in the British American Drama Academy. Anna had a brief stint performing in Chicago theatre before moving on to television and film. In 1992 Anna got her first major character as Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. She also guest-starred on the show. played in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Then it was not until the end of the 1990s when she was cast in a role in The Practice. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully was another of her characters. Gunn played in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production produced by David Schwimmer. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's wedding to Skyler. Walter White's personal story and the strain on his relationship with Skyler is mirrored in the show.
