Taylor Swift, in full Taylor Alison Swift (born December 13th, 1989 West Reading Pennsylvania U.S.) American pop and country musician and singer whose tales of young heartache achieved widespread popularity in the first decade of the 20th century. Swift was a fan of music since a young age. She quickly moved up the ranks, starting with roles in children's theater and then singing in front of an audience of thousands. In 2011, Swift, at the age of 11, performed The Star-Spangled Banner during a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. The year after that she started writing songs of her own. Swift became inspired to compose her own songs by country music artists genre such as Shania Twain or the Dixie Chicks. Swift's family moved into Tennessee from Pennsylvania at the age of 13, so that she could be able to spend longer pursuing country music labels in Nashville.
